Craig R. Haak, 73, of Canova, SD, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at his home under hospice care. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, July 10, 2019 at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, near Lake Norden. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday at the church. Geise Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Craig Raymond Haak was born on February 5, 1946, in Madison, SD, the son of Raymond and Thelma (Hall) Haak. He was a graduate of Howard High School and received his J.D. Degree from the University of South Dakota. Craig was drafted into the U.S. Army and served a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was married to Renee McGreavey. They were blessed with two children, Regan and Garin. In 1981, Craig was united in marriage to Debra (Koistinen) Kysar. He had many interest including horses and fishing and especially his grandchildren.

Craig is survived by his wife, Deb Haak, of Canova, SD; their children, Regan Ciarlotta, of Denver, CO, Garin (Jerri Ann) Haak, of Gann Valley, SD, Ryan (Carrie) Kysar, of Hayti, SD, Darin (Sara) Kysar, of Amboy, WA, Brydon (Liz) Haak, of Marengo, WI, Raelyn, (Daniel) Cichosz, of Whitewood, SD, Trenna (Jeffrey) Sarkinen, of Amboy, WA and Shonell (Brandon) Dallum, of Battle Ground, WA; 37 grandchildren; his siblings, Merlyn (Deb) Haak, of Plankinton, SD, Lesa (Randy) Feldhaus, of Howard, SD and Gina (Terry) Dikoff, of Beulah, ND; aunt, Arlene Hall, of Howard, SD; parents-in-law, Wilbur and Lillian Koistinen, of Hayti, SD, and a host of friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
