Beverly Nearhood, 93, of Mitchell, SD formerly of Ethan, SD, died Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Edgewood Memory Care in Mitchell. A private family graveside service will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Ethan. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Beverly Nearhood, age 93, formerly of Ethan,SD died Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from Covid. She was born to Elwin and Eunice Blacksten on November 28, 1926 in Kingsley, Iowa. She married the love of her life, Harold Nearhood, on July 26,1948.

She is survived by her children, Nancy (Delmar) Mueller of Ethan, SD, Patty (Len) Scheich of Mitchell, SD, Wanda (Steve) Helmers and Bruce (Kim) Nearhood of Rapid City, SD, and Stacey (Chris) Brophy of Thornton, CO; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Hatzenbuhler of Mitchell, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, in 2017 and in-laws, Jerry Hatzenbuhler, Reva Nearhood, Alice Nearhood, Florence Tilberg, Blanche Moeller, Helen Paulsen, Elvin Nearhood, and Ruth Nesheim.
