Patterson sentenced to life without parole for abducting Jayme Closs, killing parents

LETTER: Impressed by Bjorkman's humility

(metro creative)

To the Editor:

A few months ago I had the opportunity to attend an event in Custer where I met and heard Tim Bjorkman speak for the first time. I really didn't know anything about him before this but was impressed by his humility and down-to-earth personality as he shared his background as a judge, and why he was now running for congress. He came across as honest, authentic, and as a person of integrity who was getting into politics for all the right reasons — because he wanted to serve the people of South Dakota.

I didn't hear a single negative word about his opponent, just positive policy-based ideas about what we need to be doing to make this a better state and nation for all of its citizens. And when I learned that Tim was not taking a single penny from lobbyists or special corporate interests, I was won over. As we drove back home that day, I commented to my wife that if we had more people like Tim Bjorkman representing us in Washington, we might actually get some things

done. I urge you to vote for Tim Bjorkman on Nov. 6.
