Two injured in one-vehicle crash near Plankinton
PLANKINTON — Two people sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash Monday afternoon near Plankinton.
At approximately 2:21 p.m., 73-year-old Wayne Anderson, of Yankton, was traveling westbound on Interstate 90, near exit 307, and drove a 2014 Honda Pilot off the road. The vehicle went into left median, causing the airbags to deploy, according to the Aurora County Sheriff's Office.
Anderson and the other passenger, 73-year-old Mary Lou Anderson, of Yankton, both sustained minor injuries. Both were transported to Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell.
No charges are pending. The Aurora County Sheriff's Office, Plankinton Ambulance, Stickney ambulance service, and Plankinton Fire and Rescue were the responding agencies.
