South Dakota adds 521 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend

South Dakota saw an increase of 521 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend, with 320 new cases on Saturday and 201 on Sunday.

The state has now seen 16,638 cases, with 2,461 active cases. There was also one new death recorded on Sunday, bringing the state total to 184. Thirteen new hospitalizations were recorded, with one new hospitalization. South Dakota has 1,165 people hospitalized overall, with 110 currently hospitalized.

South Dakota has seen 221,871 total tests, with 13,993 recovered cases.

Davison County recorded two new active cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing the active total to 21 and 11 people ever hospitalized.
