YANKTON (AP) - City officials in Yankton are considering allowing bars to set up sidewalk areas for patrons to enjoy their drinks outdoors.
The Daily Press & Dakotan reports that the City Commission is considering an ordinance change that would allow the consumption of alcohol on city sidewalks adjacent to licensed and permitted bars.
Commissioner Craig Sommer has questioned whether the change might affect pedestrians.
A public hearing is scheduled June 13.
