Work to begin on Highway 44 bridge

PLATTE -- Work is scheduled to begin next week on structure rehabilitation on the state Highway 44 Platte-Winner Bridge near Platte.

During this construction, traffic will be reduced to one lane and controlled with temporary traffic signals. A 10-foot width restriction will also be in place. Over-width traffic will be provided with an over-width detour.

The project was awarded for $878,819.40 to Prime Contractor Corr Construction Services Inc., Hermosa.
