The South Dakota Department of Transportation will begin work on the service roads adjacent to Burr Street in Mitchell on Tuesday.
The work zones will extend from Kay Avenue south to Interstate 90 along the east and west sides of Burr Street.
Limited cold-milling of the asphalt surface will be done, along with placement of asphalt concrete resurfacing on each of the service roads.
Intermittent closures on the service roads at Kay Avenue, Norway Avenue and the south intersections with Burr Street are expected to occur from Tuesday through Thursday, May 31.
Access to businesses along the service roads will be maintained while work is being completed.

Motorists should expect intersection closures and moderate delays during working hours.
The construction is expected to be done by Friday, June 1.
The prime contractor is Interstate Improvement, Inc. of Faribault, Minn.
