A Fort Thompson woman has pleaded not guilty to assaulting a federal officer.
Sheranda Shields, 20, entered the plea in federal court on May 20. She was indicted by a federal grand jury on May 10.
Shields is accused of using a motor vehicle to forcibly interfere or assault a Fort Thompson police officer in September 2010.
The maximum penalty upon conviction is 20 years in prison. A trial date has not yet been set.
