LOWER BRULE -- A woman was indicted for involuntary manslaughter Tuesday in connection with a death last year.

Kiya Rojas is charged in federal court with causing 26-year-old Rolland Grassrope's death on July 9, 2018, in Lyman County by operating a motor vehicle in a grossly negligent manner.

Court documents do not indicate where Rojas is from or how old she is, but Grassrope's obituary states he lived in Lower Brule at the time of his death.

A court date for Rojas had not been set as of Thursday afternoon.
