A 27-year-old Fort Thompson woman was arrested July 2 in Mitchell after police searched her purse and allegedly found two pipes with methamphetamine residue in them.
Teanna Dion is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. She faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine for the meth charge, a felony, and another 30 days in jail and a $500 fine for the paraphernalia charge, a misdemeanor.
According to court documents, Mitchell police arrested Dion after conducting a drug investigation at 900 W. Second Ave. She is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
