WINNER -- A Winner woman pleaded not guilty Thursday in federal court to concealing information from authorities investigating an alleged assault and murder of a man at a Winner tribal housing facility.
Allisa Kendra Hawkman, 21, is charged with misprision of a felony and faces a maximum of three years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.
Misprision of a felony occurs when a person conceals the fact a felony took place but did not participate in the act. She was indicted May 8.
The charge relates to the investigation into the alleged April 13 assault and murder of Ernest White Buffalo Chief by 19-year-old Taylor White Buffalo at a Winner tribal housing facility.
White Buffalo is in the custody of the U.S. Marshal Service awaiting trial, which is scheduled for July.

The investigation into Hawkman's case is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Services.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Tim Maher. Hawkman was released to a third party custodian pending trial.
