SPEARFISH (AP) -- Officials have reduced their estimate of the size of a forest fire in western South Dakota's Black Hills.
The Crow Peak Fire is now estimated at 40 acres rather than 75 after more accurate mapping was done. Officials are still working to contain the blaze in rugged terrain southwest of Spearfish. Firefighters are working on the ground and in the air.
Officials believe lightning sparked the Crow Peak Fire on Saturday, along with two smaller fires over the weekend.
