SIOUX FALLS - Sarah Jennings, state director of AARP-South Dakota, said her organization is helping West River ranchers affected by an October blizzard.
The organization is contributing $10,000 to the Rancher Relief Fund.
“While we know that’s a drop in the bucket, we hope that, along with that money, that folks there know that we are all thinking about them and hoping that recovery can go as quickly and easily as possible, although we know that none of this is going to be quick or easy,” Jennings said.
The Ranchers Relief Fund has now raised more than $1 million and is working through applications for help.
