TABOR -- Authorities have identified a 38-year-old Vermillion man as the victim in a fatal crash Friday, Oct. 1.
Traun Cook Sr. died when his vehicle failed to negotiate a curve on South Dakota Highway 50, about 2 miles south of Tabor. Officials say he was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the 2002 Cadillac Seville he was driving.
The crash occurred at about 7:40 a.m., and the South Dakota Highway Patrol continues its investigation.
