UPDATE: 43-year-old dead woman identified

The Mitchell Police Division identified the 43-year-old woman who was found dead Tuesday in her apartment in Mitchell as Janet Lee Wurtz.
Wurtz was identified as the deceased woman in a news release issued Wednesday, after authorities notified her family members of her death.
Wurtz was found at about 2 p.m. Tuesday inside an apartment at 600 W. 15th Ave. by an employee of the landlord for the apartment complex.
Detective Lt. Don Everson told The Daily Republic that an autopsy performed Wednesday seemed to rule out the possibility of foul play, but did not immediately reveal a specific cause of death. The toxicology report - which looks for certain substances in the body and can take weeks to finalize - has not been completed, but could provide authorities with more information about a cause of death.
“At this point, we’re just waiting for more information from that report,” Everson said.
