South Dakota's Unified Judicial System (UJS) and State Bar of South Dakota programs are working together to offer free clinics to members of the public who are representing themselves or considering representing themselves in divorce and other domestic legal actions.

The Davison County clinic will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Quality Inn, Mitchell.

The clinics will assist with the completion of UJS-approved pro se forms only and will provide a general overview regarding the legal process. Legal advice will not be provided nor will an attorney/client relationship be established.

Before arriving at the clinic, attendees should read the following: 1) "Going Solo: Representing Yourself in the South Dakota Courts"; and 2) pro se forms and accompanying instructions.

The forms may be downloaded for free at http://ujs.sd.gov/forms/default.aspx or purchased at a clerk of court office. Attendees are required to bring a complete set of unmarked UJS-approved pro se forms to the clinic for completion. For those who cannot attend a clinic, help completing the forms is available by calling the UJS Legal Help Line at 1-855-784-0004 or the Access to Justice program at 605-791-4147.
