A traffic accident in the Mitchell Kmart parking lot left two people injured Wednesday.
Officer Adam Smith with the Mitchell Police Division said the vehicle's driver, Adam Bates, 22, of Lake Andes, did not see a cement post in the parking lot because of the sun's glare.
Passengers Rochelle Joyner, 32, and William Pontius, 39, both of Lake Andes, were taken to Avera Queen of Peace Hospital with minor facial injuries, Smith said.
No citations were issued, Smith said.
