Traffic stop near Rapid City nets piles of pot hauled by 60-somethings

RAPID CITY (AP) -- Bond has been set at $60,000 for men from Minnesota and Wisconsin who authorities say were caught hauling a large amount of marijuana through South Dakota.

RAPID CITY (AP) - Bond has been set at $60,000 for men from Minnesota and Wisconsin who authorities say were caught hauling a large amount of marijuana through South Dakota.

The Rapid City Journal reports that a Highway Patrol trooper stopped 64-year-old Dennis Krivinchuk of Superior, Wis., and 66-year-old Richard Ward, of Duluth, Minn., on Monday afternoon.

The South Dakota Attorney General's office says the men allegedly had 60 pounds of marijuana and 150 grams of hashish in their vehicle.

Both men face drug possession charges. It was not immediately clear if they had attorneys.
