HETTINGER, N.D. — A student involved in a shooting at Monday morning, Oct. 4, at Hettinger Public School was taken for emergency medical treatment, according to the Adams County Sheriff's Office.
The student's status at this time is unknown.
Emergency services were dispatched at approximately 11:15 a.m. Monday to Hettinger Public School for a student active shooter incident.
"The incident involved one student and no other students, faculty or staff were involved. Emergency Services immediately responded with the Adams County sheriff, Hettinger County sheriff, North Dakota Highway Patrol, Hettinger Fire Department and West River Health Services Ambulance all sending personnel," according to the Sheriff's Office.
