TYNDALL - A 92-year-old woman who died in a car crash last week has been identified by authorities.
Lenora McCann, of Springfield, was killed Thursday when the 2010 Ford Fusion she was driving collided with a 2006 Peterbilt 7500 semi-tractor trailer one mile west of Tyndall.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety said McCann did not yield for a yield sign when the crash occurred. She was pronounced dead at the scene, and authorities said she was not wearing a seat belt.
The semi-truck driver was Roy Kesterson, 41, of Chamberlain. He was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
South Dakota's Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
