CANISTOTA - A Spencer man was charged with selling marijuana to three minors.
Dallas Vanwoert, 18, was arrested on June 11 and charged with three counts of distributing marijuana to a minor after law enforcement allegedly found three girls in possession of marijuana on June 5 near Lake Vermillion, about 5 miles east of Canistota, court documents state.
Law enforcement questioned Vanwoert, who allegedly admitted to selling marijuana to one girl for $5, to another for $40 and providing marijuana for no cost to the third girl.
Vanwoert was charged with two counts of distribution of marijuana to a minor with consideration, a Class 5 felony, punishable upon conviction by up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine; and one count of distribution of marijuana to a minor without consideration, a Class 6 felony, punishable upon conviction by up to two years in prison and a $4,000 fine.
