CLARA CITY, Minn. — A 19-year-old woman was killed and a 75-year-old woman seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning, Jan. 7, on Minnesota Highway 7 in Chippewa County.

Hailey Ann Berghuis of Clara City, Minnesota, was killed. Gwendolyn Jane Heimer, 75, of Spearfish, South Dakota, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to North Memorial Hospital in the Twin Cities, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Berghuis was driving a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country on Highway 7 west of Clara City and Eric Karl Heimer, 65, of Spearfish, South Dakota, was driving a 2018 Ford Explorer.
