BROOKINGS (AP) - A fight in a residence hall at South Dakota State University has left one man stabbed and another injured.
University officials say a male student entered an unlocked room in Brown Hall Sunday and was stabbed after getting into a fight with a man in the room who was not a student. KELO-TV reports university police responded and both men were taken Brookings Hospital.
The student who was stabbed was then airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital for surgery. The other man was treated and released to the custody of Brooking County sheriff's deputies.
