RAPID CITY (AP) -- Firefighters have contained a small wildfire in southwest South Dakota they say was caused by lightning.
The Quarry Fire south of Black Hawk burned 7.5 acres, or less than a square mile. Most of the land was in the Black Hills National Forest; less than an acre was privately owned.
The fire started about midday Wednesday and was contained at 8 a.m. Thursday. No structures were threatened.
