SIOUX FALLS (AP) - A well-known chef in Sioux Falls will soon have her skills shown on the small screen.
Sanaa Abourezk, the owner of Sanaa's 8th Street Gourmet, will appear on the Food Network show "Beat Bobby Flay" on March 3.
Abourezk was flown to New York last April to record the episode, but has had to keep it a secret until now.
The show involves two contestants competing to create a dish using an ingredient selected by Flay. The winner of that challenge goes on to battle the celebrity chef.
Abourezk's Mediterranean restaurant is a popular staple in Sioux Falls. In 2014, the New York Times included the restaurant in its feature story about the city's burgeoning culinary scene.
