ALEXANDRIA -- The sentencing of 61-year-old Kenneth Craig Hauge, of Alexandria, has been scheduled for next month.

Hauge was convicted May 18 of possession of 1 to 10 pounds of marijuana after a jury trial in Alexandria. He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Sentencing was initially postponed following the trial due to Hauge being charged as a habitual offender, which would have required another trial. The charge was dropped Wednesday and a date was set for sentencing.

Hauge's son, Lee Jordan Hauge, of Mitchell, was sentenced May 15 in Davison County Court to 60 days in jail after pleading guilty to distributing and possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.
