ABERDEEN (AP) - Officials are still searching for a few of the dozens of cattle that got loose from a livestock auction in Aberdeen.
About 45 cows got away from Hub City Livestock on Wednesday when a gate on a pen was not chained securely. About half were caught that day, and the search continued Thursday.
Hub City Livestock co-owner Rick Hellwig tells the American News that about half a dozen cows are still on the loose. The animals are scattered west of the city and their exact locations aren't known.
The search was continuing Friday.
