PIERRE (AP) -- A Rapid City woman's lawsuit seeking to have her name added to the primary ballot for the Republican nomination to run for South Dakota's lone U.S. House seat was delayed again Tuesday when a circuit judge granted her request that he remove himself from the case.
State officials say Stephanie Strong waited too long to file the lawsuit, and it's already too late to change the ballots because early voting for the June 5 primary has already started. But Circuit Judge Mark Barnett of Pierre, who removed himself from the case Tuesday, said a new hearing date will be set after a different judge is assigned.
