RAPID CITY (AP) -- More South Dakota National Guard soldiers are on their way to duty in the Middle East.
The 22 soldiers with Detachment 1, Company B of the 935th Support Battalion are heading to Fort Hood, Texas, for final training after an activation ceremony in Rapid City on Wednesday. They will train in Fort Hood for two months before heading overseas to Kuwait.
The 935th deployed to Iraq in 2004-05. The soldiers specialize in maintaining and repairing helicopters.
