HURON (AP) - Another donation for a new 4-H exhibit hall at the South Dakota State Fairgrounds.
The South Dakota Farm Bureau Federation and county Farm Bureau chapters have combined to raise $35,000 for the new building. In addition, several of the county Farm Bureau chapters have pledged to raise more money for the facility.
The proposed 49,000-square-foot hall will feature multiple classrooms, a large kitchen for 4-H special food competitions, year-round concessions and a performance stage.
Fair officials expect construction to begin in the spring of 2015. The project should be finished by the end of the summer.
