PLATTE — State authorities were investigating Tuesday the discovery of human remains in Charles Mix County.
The discovery was made by pheasant hunters in the area of Snake Creek, which is located near the Missouri River, west of Platte.
State and local agencies, including the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, were investigating the site on Tuesday.
Additional details about the findings and the investigation were not available Tuesday afternoon.
