RAPID CITY (AP) - A retired Army officer who served in Iraq has kicked off her campaign to seek the Democratic nomination to run for South Dakota’s lone seat in the U.S. House.
KOTA-TV reports that Corinna Robinson officially began her campaign Monday by visiting with veterans and their families in Rapid City.
Robinson is running for the seat now held by Republican Kristi Noem. She recently resigned as director of the anti-terrorism and force protection directorate at the Pentagon Force Protection Agency so she could run for Congress.
