RAPID CITY (AP) - Authorities have charged a Rapid City man who they say sexually assaulted two children over an extended period.
The Rapid City Journal reports the 34-year-old man was ordered held on $100,000 bond on Tuesday. He was arrested Monday following a grand jury indictment.
The man is charged with first- and fourth-degree rape and aggravated incest of a victim born in 1996. Authorities say the assaults occurred from 2006 through 2011. He is also charged with having sexual contact during that period with a child born in 2001.
The man faces a minimum prison sentence of 15 years if convicted of first-degree rape. The other charges each carry a maximum penalty of 15 years.
The Associated Press isn't naming the man to protect the identity of the victims.
