PRESHO -- A Presho man was charged with domestic aggravated assault on Aug. 15 after allegedly threatening to kill a minor.
According to court documents, the victim told a deputy with the Lyman County Sheriff's Office that night that while he, another boy, a woman and 39-year-old Cameron Middletent were at a park, Middletent and the woman got into an argument.
The boy reportedly said Middletent grabbed him by the arm and the throat, lifted him up, held him against some bars at the park and told him three times he was going to kill him. Other children who were at the park when the incident occurred allegedly corroborated the boy's story.
Middletent was arrested based on information given by the victim and witnesses. He was transported to the Brule County Jail.
Aggravated assault is a Class 3 felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine.
