The Wessington Springs Area Development Corporation and the Wessington Springs Senior Community Center are co-sponsoring a Pre-Legislative Forum at 12:45 p.m. on Dec. 12 at the center in Wessington Springs.
South Dakota District 20 Legislators will be present to discuss local, state and national issues. Rep. Josh Klumb, Rep. Tona Rozum and Sen. Mike Vehle are all scheduled to attend. If you would like to reserve a meal, which will be served at noon at the Senior Nutrition Site, you may call 539-9331 prior to 9 a.m.
Quinten Burg, president of the development corporation and former legislator said, "I feel it is important to organize this forum with our legislators prior to the session, rather than trying to meet with them once they are in session. They will have the information from the Governor's Budget Address. Please come out and support this event."
