Mitchell police are looking for a man suspected of assaulting a female outside the movie theater.

According to a Nixle alert from the Mitchell Department of Public Safety, a 16-year-old female was assaulted around 11:45 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of North Lawler. Police say the victim had just left Luxury 5 Cinemas, the movie theater, and was getting into her vehicle when the assault occurred.

The Mitchell Police Department is looking for a white male described as being approximately 5 feet 8 inches or 5 feet 9 inches tall with a round face and a medium to large build. The male had short dark hair and was wearing a green T-shirt and darker colored pants.

Police say the male was seen coming from the 100 block of East Second Avenue crossing Lawler Street just before the incident. After the assault, the male ran to the east.
