RAPID CITY (AP) - Police are investigating a shooting death in Rapid City.

The Rapid City Journal reports authorities responded to a report of a man with a gunshot wound late Friday night at a Burger King.

Police say the victim walked to the restaurant from a nearby location and asked employees for help. Police say emergency workers tried to revive the victim, but he died at the scene.

The victim's name is not being released, pending notification of family members.

The incident is being investigated as a homicide by police and the Pennington County Sheriff's Office.
