WINNER -- Platte-Geddes drubbed Parkston 17-4 to stay alive at the Class B state Legion baseball tournament here Friday afternoon at the Leahy Bowl.
P-G will now take on Flandreau at 3 p.m. today in an elimination game. W-C, which outlasted Flandreau 19-14 in a winners' bracket game late Friday, will take on Milbank following that game at around 6 p.m. No matter the outcome of W-C's game today, it will play at 1 p.m. Sunday because it is the only team with no losses at the tournament.
The game was tied at 3 going into the top of the fourth inning when P-G's offense erupted.
P-G's Aaron Hoff led off the inning with a walk and then stole second. After a strikeout, Kyle Fredrick singled to center to advance Hoff to third. Then, Hayden Kuiper delivered the go-ahead hit with a two-run single to make it 5-3.
Later, a two-run double from Joel Severson and a two-run single from Hoff put P-G up 10-3. P-G scored its other run in the inning on a Parkston error.

P-G tacked on three more runs in the fifth and four in the sixth before the game was ended due to the 10-run rule.
P-G finished with 13 hits and two errors and Parkston had five hits and two errors. Myles Kuiper picked up the win on the mound for P-G and Brady Nolz took the loss for Parkston.
P-G scored its first run in the second inning on an RBI double from Andrew Hoeksma. In the bottom half of that inning, Post 194 came back with a two-run single from Jeremy Wermers to go up 2-1.
An RBI triple from Myles Kuiper and an RBI single from Austin Ringling gave P-G a brief 3-2 lead in the top of the third. Parkston responded in the bottom half to tie the game when Matt Malloy scored on an error to tie the game.
At the plate for P-G, Kellen Munneke went 2-for-5 and scored three runs, Myles Kuiper went 3-for-4 and scored four runs, Severson went 2-for-4 and scored twice, Hoeksma went 2-for-4 and Fredrick went 2-for-4 and scored twice.
For Parkston, Wermers and Jared Boehmer both went 2-for-3 and Malloy went 1-for-2 and scored two runs.
Parkston finished its season with a 15-13 record and P-G improved to 21-6.

Flandreau 14
In a game that didn't seem like it wanted to end, Winner-Colome won its third straight game to improve to 3-0 at the tournament with a 19-14 win over Flandreau late Friday night.
W-C had 21 hits and five errors and Flandreau had 14 hits and four errors.
"Our motto the last 10 days has been not to give up," W-C head coach Tresh Swedlund said. "You have to hand it to our kids, they never stop battling. We knew coming into the tournament that it would be tough. We played some tough teams in the regular season and I think that has paid off for us."
Flandreau had 14-12 lead going into the top of the ninth inning.
W-C's Trevor Layh led off the inning with a base hit to short. After two outs, Kyle Beck came up and reached on an error with Layh moving up to third base.
After Layh came home on a passed ball to make it 14-13, Trent Sherman delivered an RBI single to tie it at 14. After Jared Donahue reached on an error to load the bases, Bill Foote drew a walk to bring in the winning run to give W-C a 15-14 edge.
Derek Graesser delivered a two-run single to pad W-C's lead to 17-14. W-C added two more runs before the inning had concluded.

W-C is now 22-27 on the season.
Donahue picked up the win in relief of Graesser. Donahue came on in the seventh inning.
At the plate for W-C, Layh, Trent Sherman, Chris Sherman, Dane Driscoll and Tyler VandenHoek all went 3-for-6 and Beck went 2-for-5.
Swedlund said either Beck or Driscoll will get the start on the mound today against Milbank.
