Dr. Ryan G. Haiar was recently elected by his peers to lead the South Dakota Optometric Society.
As president, Haiar will oversee the statewide professional group formed in 1910 to promote the practice of optometry. The SDOS has members in communities across the state.
Haiar graduated from Mitchell High School, the University of South Dakota and the Illinois College of Optometry. Haiar is a partner at EyeSite in Sioux Falls.
He is married to optometrist Dr. Andrea McCann. They have two sons: Spencer and Rowen.
