A 17-year-old was transported to Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell with minor injuries after a one-vehicle rollover at about 9:50 p.m. Monday in northern Mitchell.
The juvenile male is not being named because there are no charges pending from the crash, according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
The vehicle, a 1995 Isuzu Trooper, was headed north on the Highway 37 bypass when the driver lost control making a left turn toward North Harmon Drive. The vehicle went off the roadway, into the north ditch and rolled. It landed on its wheels.
A 17-year-old male passenger was uninjuried, and both of the vehicle’s occupants were wearing seat belts.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
