ALEXANDRIA - One person sustained serious non-life threatening injuries in a one-vehicle crash near Alexandria.
At approximately 9:48 a.m. Monday, a 82-year-old man driving a 2016 Hyundai Utility was traveling west on I-90 and gradually left the roadway. He entered a ditch, vaulted off an embankment and landed in a creek, according to South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
He was transported to a Mitchell hospital. Officials are not releasing the man's name at this time.
South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating. Hanson County Sheriff's Office, Emery Fire Department and Mitchell Ambulance/EMS also responded.
