STICKNEY - A single-car rollover in Aurora County on Wednesday resulted in injuries for the vehicle's driver.

The accident occurred at 12:15 p.m. on 265th Street near the corner of 385th Avenue, or about five miles east of Aurora Center, and three miles west of U.S. Highway 281.

A white 2002 Chevy Tahoe driven by Rachel Donker, 25, of Stickney, was traveling west on 265th Street when she lost control of the vehicle, which then went into the road's north ditch and rolled onto its roof.

According to South Dakota Highway Patrol Trooper Casey Lubbers, the road was covered by ice, and Donker was traveling at about 50 mph when the accident occurred.

A 1-year-old infant was also traveling with Donker. The infant, who was OK, was secured in a child safety seat. Donker was wearing a seat belt.

Donker was taken to Avera Queen of Peace in Mitchell by the Plankinton Ambulance with minor injuries.
