VIBORG — A man died Saturday in a motorcycle crash 3 miles north of Viborg.
At 4:54 p.m., according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, the 55-year-old man was southbound on S.D. Highway 19 on a 2015 Victory Magnum when he lost control of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle reportedly skidded, throwing the man off of it. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was involved in the crash.
The man's name has not been released pending notification of family members. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
