Avera Medical Group Internal Medicine announces that Dr. Megan Kippes will join Avera Medical Group Family Health Center on the Avera Grassland Health Campus, effective Sept. 1.
As an internal medicine specialist, Kippes provides medical care for adult patients, with a
focus on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of adult diseases.
Kippes, a Delmont native, earned her medical degree at Des Moines University and is a board certified specialist in internal medicine. She said her mother's influence-she was a registered nurse-helped lead her toward medicine.
Kippes and her husband, John, who works as a high school teacher, are looking forward to life closer to family in the area. Her sister, Dr. Ashley Peters, is an OB/GYN specialist at Avera Medical Group Obstetrics & Gynecology, Mitchell.
