The theme of the new Corn Palace murals, which are being released today, is "Saluting Youth Activities."
Included in the murals by local artist Cherie Ramsdell is one drawing submitted by Rebekah White, a third-grader at Colome Elementary School.
Corn Palace Director Mark Schilling said the South Dakota After School Partnership worked with the Corn Palace in collecting submitted artwork from elementary students. White's drawing depicts cheerleading.
Schilling said workers will begin posting the new murals in late August or early September.
