PIERRE - South Dakota's election ballots for seats in the Legislature are filling back up.
Nearly all of the Republican and Democratic candidates who withdrew have been replaced by their local party organizations.
District 5, representing Watertown and Codington County, might see two Democratic slots stay vacant, however.
Alanna Silvis of Watertown withdrew from the House contest, and David Johnson of Watertown departed the Senate race.
As of Thursday, the South Dakota Secretary of State Office hadn't received notice of replacements nominated for either spot by the Democrats' county committee.

They are the only two withdrawals that could still be filled.
When the general-election ballot shall become final isn't clear.
That's because, under South Dakota law, the state office will continue to accept replacement nominations as long as they were sent registered mail before the deadline of 5 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, according to spokesman Jason Williams.
He said the office received a replacement nomination Thursday for a Minnehaha County legislative district.
Here's a look at who withdrew and their replacements as of Thursday:
House:
District 4-Rep. Fred Deutsch, R-Florence, withdrawn. John Mills, R-Volga, replacement.
District 5 - Alanna Silvis, D-Watertown, withdrawn. No replacement.
