PIEDMONT — Authorities have released the names of a man who was killed in a morning car crash in Meade County on Saturday, July 31.
Preliminary reports from the South Dakota Department of Public Safety say a 2018 Dodge Charger was eastbound on Elk Creek Road, approximately one mile east of Piedmont, when it left the road to the right, went into the ditch and eventually rolled.
Bradley Swenson, 32, of Rapid City, a passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, Teressa Colhoff, 21, of Rapid City, sustained minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to a Rapid City hospital. Charges are pending against her.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
