Bobby Beach Pattison and Becca Glanzer qualified for the state oral interp contest. Bobby advances in oratory and serious prose and Becca in humorous. The Readers Theatre group was chosen as alternate. Activities for the week of Nov. 25 through Dec. 2 include: Tuesday, the Junior High Music Festival will be in Platte.
There will be no school in Mount Vernon Thursday and Friday due to Thanksgiving vacation.
Monday, the High School Music Festival will be in Gregory.

Another reminder of the Mount Vernon Youth Wrestling sign-up: it will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 3 in the downtown gym. The $30 fee includes the AAU card and a Tshirt for the wrestler. For information call Melissa Mayer at 351-6723.
