SIOUX FALLS (AP) -- A Sioux Falls woman facing child neglect and drug possession charges after a fire that killed her three children is back in custody after skipping a court hearing.
Thirty-four-year-old Rhiannon White was to be arraigned last Thursday but didn't show up for court. A judge issued a warrant for her arrest, and she was apprehended later that day at a rural residence near Sibley, Iowa. She was extradited to South Dakota the following day.
Authorities allege that White tested positive for drugs after the Dec. 22 house fire that killed 6-year-old Olivia Coon, 12-year-old Savannah Coon and 16-year-old Michael Hensley. White and her husband escaped with minor injuries by jumping from a second-floor window.
